Handbrake Surround

Abit of a Novice question...suprisingly this is a part i HAVENT changed yet

How do i remove the black plastic surround on the hand brake? Pictured below in a very very very old photo of my interior

On the cover, there are two plastic screws on either side. Unscrew both. Then pull out the clips they screw into. Then you can just pull it off.

For the base of it, there's two screws near the gearknob and one hidden under the little ashtray cover. That just pulls off over the handbreak then.

I got the surround off...but i meant the black plastic part that you actually grip for the handbrake. Dont worry,i done it now,check my blog for photos!
