Glove box extraction

Hi all, first post so not sure is doing it right or posing in the correct place
My daughter has a 2007 1.6sr and the fan and heater have totally stopped working, I've checked the fuses, next I want to check the heater resistor in the glovebox but there's a tab attached top left with a cable going into the back, don't want to yank on it if it has something to do with the passenger airbag
I only want to check the resistor connections before looking at the blower
I can post pictures if I can attach them

I'd put money on the fault being the motor connector, very common K12's. See here for a permanent fix... https://micra.org.uk/threads/heater-fan-fault-in-k12.67987/ Five years on my blower still works perfectly... :0)
