Gearbox oil

Same problem as another thread, gears are a bit clunky, probably more noticable when cold.
Its going in for a service next week (Not Nissan obviously) so my get the mechanic to change the oil. 54 plate micra diesel, its done 35K, anyone know when it should be changed and what oil to use?

A good synthetic oil will see you right. Just match up the oil weight in your manual to a good quality synthetic oil and Bob is indeed you Uncle. When warming up the car in the morning run the gearbox through all the gears a couple of times with the clutch in. This will lube them up and help with keeping the gearbox together longer.

I'll tell her to do this but not promising!
Its going in next week for a service so I'll get the gearbox oil changed then. - Thanks mate.
