Hi, I'm currently trying to fix my wife's old Micra, and I'm puzzled by one problem. 1 year ago, the car had misfiring problems. I carried out several repairs, including changing the spark plug, coils, injectors, fuel pump and air intake seal. The problem didn't seem to resolve itself and I had to give up due to lack of time in April last year.
I wanted to get back into the problem this weekend but the fuel pump doesn't work any more. So I had a look at the Haynes documentation. I have 12V on the fuel pump connector for 1-1,5 second when I turn the ignition on, and I have 11-12V when I try to crank the engine. Yet the fuel pump doesn't react. Do you think the pump is dead because it hasn't worked for more than a year ?
