Interesting results. The effect of premium vs unleaded seem to vary from car to car...
My personal experience is that premium doesn't make any difference at all to my micra... so I always just use standard unleaded.
I generally get around 600kms from a tank before the warning light comes on (if I don't drive too agressively & don't go over 100km on highway)...
100km/hr on the highway seems to be the sweet spot for the micra. Even going 110km/hr for long periods seems to noticably reduce range by somewhere between 50-100kms.
My car is fitted with extractors, a 2" sports exhaust & lightweight flywheel.
I found fitting the extractors & 2" exhaust definately improved economy but again only if you aren't driving agressively !. I was getting around 550kms a tank prior to their installation.
The lightweight flywheel didn't seem to make any difference to economy one way or the other.... but it's definately recommended as it seems to make the car a bit more responsive without using more fuel.
