Front Cross member

Hello folks I'm a newbie here(Y)

I have an N reg K11 1.0 16v as my daily driver. Whilst changing the clutch last night I noticed the front cross member that the rad sits on was rusted beyond all recognition, so much so that I could actually break it off with my bare hands. :glance:

My question is where would be the best place to get a replacement and roughly how much do they cost?

Very easy if you have the time and some knowledge.

This is whats best to use rather than just welding up the crossmember

I've just finished mine a few days ago.
mine was so rusty the removal process involved me pulling on it lol
the crossmember itself cost £15 from a scrappy and then it took me 2 days worth of solid drilling and preparation to get it on. i then rivvited it on and it was ready for welding.

from a garage my quotes were between £120-200
work involved includes headlights, front grill, front bumper have to come off. and the radiator has to come out. oldmember has to be angle grinded off and new member has to be welded on.

do a search for "crossmember" and more will come up
