Figured this would be the place to share, I've grown to really love my micra, the 195s put this thing on bloody rails.

Pretty happy with the results as this was a first for me on every level, mostly learning carbon fiber.

A Ram Scoop to utilize the airdam, Side skirts and Rear diffuser are to follow, as well as Pulsar Discs.

Heh, perhaps, I looked at a lot of different front wings/splitters (as well as studied the concept) before designing that one, none of the ones i've seen have any real aero effect, they're all form over function not to mention my micra is truly one of a kind :) my splitter comes into effect at 70km+, air is pushed into the cabin and I can taste the road texture beyond.

Thats a brilliant statement! I think that is an awesome description.
It it true that you can taste the road texture?

Just in case you think I'm being sarcastic. .. I'm not. Not trying to be a **** or anything, just intrigued to know more about the theory, design, fabrication and real world results of your work.

Share some on micra sports club australia page on facebook if you can.... lots easier to upload photos there and a fair few active members.

Cheers, will do.

And yea, apart from my legs getting cold, the feedback from the road surface was most noticeable, makes you really appreciate a good road.

I've wondered if there is anything I can do to counter it actually, but i'm thinking hardening the springs will only amplify the effect and softening the tire will negate the handling.

But the concept is generally simple, remove air from under the car to generate a negative pressure while increasing air pressure above.

And since it's hardly a "hypercar" i used a fairly aggressive angle on the splitter to maximize the aero.

Top work man.

"If it really works then your fuel economy should get worse with the extra down force

Absolutely :D but an extra $5 a month is barely worth mentioning.

Something like 96% of aftermarket body parts (All cars) are purely cosmetic, that's why I had to build it myself.

Edit: I have a "decent" knowledge of aeronautics/rocketry, Helped a lot. I'll post a video of the massive plume/twin vortices my car leaves behind on a dusty road in the near future, but without the skirts and most importantly, the diffuser, it's really only ~%30 effective.

If you want a challenge, find an aftermarket part for a K11 that actually works and post us the link :D
