Filling gearbox with oil by speedo drive

fantastic news, ####ing filler plug is no longer hex shaped but a nice beautiful circle... some ### must have put it in WAY too tight.

is it possible to remove the electric speedo drive and fill gearbox from there??

thanks ed, i got it off and i can actually see gearbox oil so i assumed i could fill from there. its now draining (becuase thankfully drain plug works lol).

one last question is, how would i know when to stop filling? normally i can tell becuase it starts coming back out of the filler plug lol but as im filling though speedo drive cant do that.... i know in the book it says ~3.0 liters but i find these measurements are normally way more then thats requried... :S

ok the speedo drive itself is the level, that is, the gear that goes into the gearbox it has to cover all of that, if it does youll be fine.
