External hard drive

hello there, basically im after some advice on external hard drives. My computer literacy is beyond a joke and as such would appriciate the assistance. Im after as reasonably priced one with as much memory as possible. Ive got abut 150 quid to spend by the way.

i just purchased a "maxtor 500gb external HD" from pc world for £60 :grinning: very good spec and will last me a while!!

some websites do cheaper HD than instore but i didnt want to wait weeks for it to arrive from postage strikes etc and find out some idiot dropped it and so has to be sent back.

thought best to buy now in shop.
