exhaust heat shield?

i was looking at this link http://www.micra.com.au/technical-articles/shifter-return-springs.php which tells you what to do to make the gear stick centre itself. It says remove exhaust heat shield which is in the way of it ... well what does the exhaust heat shield look like, i have not actually attempted to fix it yet but i was just wondering where abouts it is and what i will need to remove it.

its just like a tin long plate that covers the exhaust piping theres one near the front and one near the back bolted on.

I had my one off only yesterday, its a really long thin metal sheild above the centre cat on the exhaust. Held up by 6 or 7 10mm bolts. Undo them then the sheild should slide past the exhaust or drop the exhaust if your having problems....
