engine wont tick over

hi guys,

problem!
on my way back from cinema, car working fine, noticed slight lack of power then all of a sudden when i come to lights, the engine stalls and have to keep power on constantly which wen braking in rush hour, its not hard to do!

any ideas as what it could be, i thought the battery, but the cd player was working fine and i drove it at least 4 mile and stopped many a time before i new what was happening!

help!

doesn`t sound good mate engine management light on at all also where abouts are you ??

no, just wen it starts, the rev limiter struggles and then dies with no gas
in sheffield

sounds like a sensor shame i haven`t got a day off to come and read the ecu see if any fault codes come up anyone near you maybe ?

well i left it for half and hour, off to football, dads in london at the min and will look at it tomorrow! if not, book it in!

yeah hope it`s not too much for ya my mums is in at the moment o2 sensor gone wrong again same sort of problem except that kept going...........just

its drivable to a point, where u gotta keep the gas on whilst breaking, prob in netural up hil is fine, but when your on level or down, handbrake not best lol
nor is starting it up agen, or ragging the clutch
