Engine size 1.2 or 1.4

I am in the process of swapping engines in my daughters K12. The old one is out and I have been sold a replacement 1.2 unit. Only problem is when the engines are side by side they don't look quite the same when I look closely the head on the one I've taken out has BXO UKL2 stamped on it. The new one has BXO UKR4 -- Is this some kind of misc ID or have I been sold a 1.4 ??.

Have just managed to find and clean the engine number and believe it or not it turns out I've got a CR10, just seeing if it has any insurance implications.
I'm assuming a 1.0 will go onto a 1.2 gearbox and all the electrical connections etc fit.
Any suggestions welcome

You would have to get it put down 1.0 on log book for it to be legal i assume. What does google say? I presume if the bellhousing are the same it should be fine

In my experience that will put the price of the insurance up significantly, even if its a smaller engine. Do check before you commence any work and have to swap back!
