engine mount bracket???

was working on my donor car (prefacelift 1.3 gx) and noticed on its left engine mount, it has a metal bracket behind bolted to the 14mm mount nut to the chassis. ive never seen one before so suprised me really, whipped it off and put it on mine lol

am i missing it on my car? is it standard, or someone put it there?

what are they for? just extra stength for the mount? if so do they make a diffrance? lol i just thought arrr never seen one of these before, and whipped it off and put it on mine lol
