Engine cuts out after increasing revs

Hi

I'm having some engine troubles and don't know a great deal about mechanics, but always willing to learn.

Basically, the engine will ignite fine and will run idle ok, although it does shake irregularly and misfire occasionally.

When the Revs are increased, when stationary or moving, the engine will run for a few minutes but then chug, lose power and then die. It will then not turn back on for a few minutes, but when it does, the same thing will happen.

Ive been told it might be something to do the spark plug coil. Any ideas what to do and how to check where the problem is coming from?

could be the coil mate but if its prefascelift i dont think it has a coil.... but maybe the ignition timing is out not 100% sure but a pointer eh

i assume its a k10 how_p ?
and you need to check for a spark after it has died (ie, if there is a spark when it wont restart, it might be a fuel problem)

Sorry I probably should have said - it is a 1991 K11 Micra.

I have checked fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs and resoldered the throttle body.

when the car starts to stall can you hear a chicking noise inside the cabin? if so its the fuel pump relay. also check and clean earthing points.

this happened to me when my fuel pump was dying
ignition switch dying
throttle boddy failing(needing the solder trick MAF clean)
