ecu reset

dont think u actually can without a diagnostic comp thingy (i know even tho haynes says u can) just unplug the battery leave for bout 2 mins then put it back on i know more hassle but it works...

Reseting via diagnostic port, i think only lets you reset the ecu's found fault codes.

(Using the haynes paperclip diagnostic method anyway)

cheers ppl i disconnected the ecu , i bet i forget when i come to go to work tomorrow :S lol

just the fault codes ie if a dash light is on but if its a genuine problem the light is gonna pop back on sooner or later

thankyou!!!!
i remember reading that thread "micra pete" lol.
with the new battery fitted the car doesnt seem any different :) which is good, but just wasnt sure if the ECU reset did anything else.
