ECU location

Hey all, did a search and had no luck finding an answer.

I'm just wondering where the ECU is located in the Micra. I want to reset it and see if the car runs a little better economy wise.

Also adjusting the idle, is that a simple process. It's just usually adjusting the throttle body cable usually isn't it? Now that the thermostat has been replaced the car when heated right up is idling a little too low for my liking.

the ecu is on the floor, behind the radio, i,m not sure you can reset it tho ?
haynes says the tickover screw is on the o/s rear corner of the throttle body (plastic screw, hex key) but on mine its an air bleed that bypasses the throttle butterfly (so if you screw it out, it lets more air in)

Guess I'll do the whole disconnecting the battery I think in the end to reset.

You have to remove the airbox to adjust the throttle body on the Micra I guess? I cannot seem to see it properly with the airbox on.

If you have a three fingered hand it'd be a breeze, otherwise its fairly easy to take the airbox off

No you don't...

Its on the corner and is recessed at an angle on the corner. No need to move anything. Takes all of 3 seconds to do.

Yup, no need to take it off Need to adjust mine a little actually.. running a little too low...

Thanks, I might have a look at that tomorrow. Just wish I had a tacho to check the actual revs.
