cylinder head water gallerys

Hi guys,
i was thinking of "blocking" off the two water gallerys that go from the head to the carb to try and
stop the hot water from heating the carb and as such heating the petrol and air charge to the engine,
i would just like to know if i will gain anything by this or am i just wasting my time, the car is used for oval
racing and i notice the inlet manafold runs extremely hot!
Thanks,

Hi mate, Pollyp will be your man on the tb water pipes being blocked off, myself and others have just pulled them off the tb and joined them together to bypass the tb altogether

I run bike carbs now with a PTFE spacer, if you aloud to run one its worth it the mani is a lot cooler

Edit: just noticed this is for a k10 but the principles the same :)

best to make it switchable i guess, else you will get problems with the carb icing up in the cold weather
