cvt problem

Hi. I have a 1997 K11 Micra which has a weird problem. It starts in Park and will shift into Reverse without any problem. then it is a little stiff to go into Neutral. However, once it is in Neutral, I cannot get it into any gear, be it Reverse or Drive.
Any ideas on troubleshooting this will be appreciated. I have been searching for a workshop manual without any luck so if anybody has one, I would be willing to pay something for a copy.

May suggest your powder clutch? I have a similar problem with it sticking. What I do is I just give it firm pushes(but not to firm) in the direction I want it to go and it normally goes in by the third time. Mechanic said about $2000 to solve problem.
