Cool vid, making banded steel wheels.

we had a quiet spell at work this morning so i "detached" another 13 incher to pass the time :)

the main thing i dont like is the ugly step you get with banded ones (arrowed) and you end up with a very wide well in the middle (making any stretch tyre very hard to inflate)

haha i have to agree that lip is ugly:laugh: there better done how you do them frank plus you dont have to worry about doing the arches then either (Y)
 
or else make 1 wheel out of 2 and keep the narrow well for easy tyrestretch, but have the full dia/unstepped dish tho

Thought so better to be sure, do you use a jig to make sure the centers are level?
the centres are a very tight fit karl (you could literally drive on them without welds) so you cant physically get the eccentric, you just have to spin and chalk them on your rear hub to check they are running true :)
