choosing a backbox

I'm deciding to get a back box for my march. I've found 3, janspeed, ashley and sportex. Do u guys recommend any over the other? or it does really make a difference?

japspeed are the most i've heard about on the k11's....get the maifold as well!!

Sportex are very cheap and about as good as the janspeed, probs made in the same factory.

From what I hear ashley are the best exhausts you can get.

Ashley are pretty poor. Mine rots like you wouldn't believe.

Just got a sportex s3, quality seems great, seems as good as the janspeed, which unfortunatly rusted and snapped!! doesanyone reccomend a high temprature resistant anti corrision spray i could use on my exhaust before i fit it?

You'll just have to keep giving it thick coats of black Barbecue paint which you can get from Wilkos.

It's probably a good idea to go for the cheapest, they all rot out anyway.

janspeed sell direct on ebay got full system ( not manifold ) for £100 delivered
cheaper than most places for the back box alone mufflerdougs is the name they use.
system sounds nice not very loud though and makes the engine breath a little easier and rev a little free'er but dont think it adds much power but i think its good for the money.

What do you think of the universal back box on ebay? I know i would have to get it weld on but do you think it's worth it?

I got an Ashley box on mine, sounds nice not loud but got a nice purr to it

You can put all the anti corrosion paint you want on the exhaust but they will rust from the inside not the out

i've got a k11 janspeed on my K10 and it sounds great, its not huge and its not stupidly loud!
