cg10 tuning

hi i was just wondering if anyone on the site has done much tuning to the 1 litre k11 engine,any information would be helpful

Do the same tuning stuff to the 1.0 as the 1.3.

...Manifold and decent exhaust all the way back, decent air intake.

Then swap the 1.0 for a 1.3.

Remember if you modify the car you must declare it to the insurance comany!

The best mod you can do to an 1.0 is to buy a second hand cg13.Keep the cg10 block and change all the rest parts with those from the 1.3.That means head,pistons,rods,crank,ecu,cluch.You will have then a CG10 which is actually 1.3 and no one will ever know.

to save that trouble you can just drop a 1.3 engine in and file off the engine number.

Do the 1.3 parts fit straight onto the 1.0 litre block or is there some modification needed?

what is the maximum horsepower for a 1.0 litre?

You could probably get 75-80bhp out of the 1.0 with exhaust and flywheel mods probably. With the 1.3 that would see you near 100bhp.

The 1.3 will fit in place of teh 1.0 same engine mounts etc.

You will need 1.3 gearbox, driveshafts, CV joints etc. All 1.3 gearbox mounts and a 1.3 shifter rod unit.

how about cam work and porting etc.
or does everyone think starting with a 1.3 would be the best option

Deffo start with 1.3, thats a 20bhp upgrade as it is...

Perhaps get the engine and when its out the car port it and do cams and flywheel?
