Can ECU for CA18DET fit a K11?

Hi all, im a newbie from Singapore.. Just bought a K11 and a friend of mine offered me his old ECU for a CA18DET. I was wondering if this ECU is a direct plug & play or do I have to send the car for tuning??

Hello Icetune,

If it's the factory CA18DET ECU I am certain it will NOT work with your Micra (also factory ECUs generally can't be re-tuned anyway). I recommend that you save your money and buy something else.

If it's an aftermarket ECU (like a Motec, Unichip etc.) there is a chance it might be made to work but seek expert advice from the manufacturer before buying it.
