cisco,
I have a k10 and i was wondering if i can fit a ca18et as it has 135hp,and the sr20 is really huge for a k10 so what do you reckon, advantage and disadvange.

use E15ET from N12 pulsar/exa turbo

use engine mounts from sCargo very similar car to k10 but has E15E engine (no turbo

use gearbox from N12 Pulsar or k10 turbo or k10 super turbo

even though these 1.5L single overhead cam engines look like nothing special there is lots of delevopment done to them.

good luck and just some ideas

but wat about a cg13de with turbo in k10 sweet

if i have used sr20 instead of ca18et would i be able to use diffrent shock absorber cause the orginal ones are really weak and this engine is havier than a 1litter one.

It will be a custom job to make it fit. But with enough of the folding sutff you can make anything fit.

As for the springs, you need to sit down with a suspension shop & work out what you want out of the car. This with determine the spring rates.

if you were to do a sr20 conversion will cost you at least 10k.
probably more. less if you did work yourself. a bit has to be cut out of engine bay on the pulley's side. and engine mount front passenger side needs to be moved. bit of work but it can be done.
you would have to do some major suspension work as well. as it will be very front heavy and major understeer.
also then needs to be engineered. its quite a job. would be easier to just buy a silvia or 200sx or GTiR and spend 10k on that and youd have a street monster.

Granted, an B13 NX coupe or N14 is a bolt in installation, which offer the next lightest body shells.
Of these, the NX offers better aerodynamics.
I'd guess there is about a 100kg penality in the weight of the body shell, given the weights below.
That would then be penalties of 160kg for S13 Silvia, 200kg for S13 180SX or GTiR, & these all have less efficient drive trains (i.e. power turned through 90 degrees).

K11 2dr CG10DE 720kg (incl power steer)
K11 2dr CG13DE 810kg
K12 2dr CR12DE 870kg
B13 NX GA15DS 940kg
N14 2dr hatch GA15DS 940kg

B13 NX SR18DE 1050kg
N14 2dr hatch SR18DE 1050kg
N15 2dr hatch SR18DE 1120kg

S13 silvia SR20DE 1110kg
S14 silvia SR20DE 1140kg
S14 silvia facelift SR20DE 1160kg
S15 silvia SR20DE 1200kg

N14 GTiR SR20DET 1190kg
S13 silvia SR20DET 1150kg
S13 180SX SR20DET 1190kg
S14 silvia SR20DET 1220kg
S14 silvia facelift SR20DET 1240kg
S15 silvia SR20DET 1240kg

All weights are for manual gearboxes & the lesser specification available for each engine size (i.e. no sunroofs, HICAS etc)

And nissan doesnt give their weights with fluids.

As I found. lol. Bastards. I need to do some serious weight loss. I'm down to 940kg now with the lightweight rims thankgod (saved 5kg per rim!!) but I still need to ditch some bodyflab somehow.
