Bump strips

does anyone know how to remove the bump stops down the door?? does it leave any holes or pull the paint off at all??

bump strips they're called!! Bump stops are in the suspension if u have them.


Have a search in the k11 section!! I don't know for sure but i think they're stuck on!! So gently does it.

if you are a full member then you can read my guide on removing them

but if you don't want to do that,

peel off the strips then use a ice scraper and petrol to remove the glue...

Some people using a hair dryer to heat up the glue, just don't heat it up 2 much or it can in some cases cause the paint to come off 2!!!

Hair dryer worked for me, along with a chizel - not recommended unless u want your doors resprayed!

I use a plastic ruler....works a treat then like NeX said....petrol gets the glue off.....Eventually

doesnt petrol ruin your paint, leave petrol stains or take wax protection off??? or somthing like that lol, i know it isnt good for the paint.

If you leave it on it might do, but make sure you wash it off!
