Hey peoples,

My brake light is on and has been for awhile. Cant seem to see a reason perhaps the rear drums are starting to go?

Fluid is fine, Car is braking fine... Handbrake is pretty ****.

Can anyone verify if the micra brings up the light if the brakes are on the way out in the drums?

Cheers
Nat.

either the brake pedal is resting too low and needs readjusting or the brake switch is too far away and bend the bracket forward abit

it also could be the brake pads and rotors
if one of them is pretty damaged it can be the reason.
and yes the light (when fault ) is responsible for the front brakes also

Mine did this last week, it was the switch at the pedal I found 2 white plastic bits on the drivers floor. there is a switch that the pedal comes back to. I did what Fred said and put a small bolt in the hole so that it comes into contact with the switch

ditto hotfunk67's suggestion. Probably your plastic bung that fits in the foot brake lever has fallen apart. It is meant to hit the switch when the brake is released. If absent the electronics still thinks the brakes are on. Nut and bolt fix or bung from pulsar fits apparently.
