Blow heater electrics

Our car (nissan micra 1000c 1996) appears to be having problems with the electrics.

It appears the front door was accidently left opened last week, someone got in during the night and rifled through the glove cmpartment. We suspect they tried to start the car, as the electrics seem to be faulty. For example, the blow heater only works when turned on full, so it's either off or on full blast.

(Sorry am not good at describing the problem, my husband's the driver, not me, but he's a technophobe so ain't good on t'internet!)

its the resistor card in the passanger side footwell in the air duct, quite a common fault im told, should cast about a fiver from a scrapyard

Thanks again superls, he went and got a card, but from a dealer as the scrapyard didn't have any. He's now replaced it and it's sorted the heater out a treat.:grinning:

Forgot to mention the handbrake warning light remains on, even when the handbrake is disengaged....does anyone have any idea how to mend this?

Handbrake switch, sounds like you need a haynes manual, lol.
