Does anyone know the differences with the auto flywheel and a manual. Would the auto flywheel work in a manual box.

I don't have much experience with the autos so i am just wondering. They look the same but the auto would appear to be lighter.

According to an 'Eric the car guy' video I saw on youtube, auto's use what's called a pressure plate which is similar to a flywheel but smaller and a lot thinner :).

no, cvt micra has quite light flywheel with loads of holes in it. You could probably get pressure made up and welded onto it. I know frank has done that and I think he used some sort of disc brake to make the plate. You would probably ended up with incredibly light f/w

hope frank doesnt mind
