Attaching Postive.

hi all,

i have just installed my rev counter today everything is working fine, but i dont know where to attach the postive leg from the rev counter...i firstly attached it to the postive battery terminal but that means the rev counter is on at all times...i dont want to cut into my radio wire so what are my other options of where to attach my postive wire?

solder it in to the ignition live on the ignition switch wires.

the wires coming off the back of the igntion switch. A multimeter will help you find out which one is ign live.

Back of the ignition barrel itself mate then use a multimeter to go from there

okay iv took it apart during work today

but the wires are all incased together and they seem very hard to get to here i have taken some pics, some more advise would be a great help.

You can scotchlock it onto the postive feed to the cigarette socket.

i tried cig lighter because i got it runnin off a switch its not working to right, i might give it another try later on but if that fails where can i attach my postive then??!?

well the cig lighter should work tbh but i asways solder it in at the ignition, you will need to cut the tape stuff that holds all the wires together.,

do you mean the rev counter light is on all the time? i wired mine to the side lights so the light came on when the side lights came on...

i would do that be its got dark smoke finish on the coutner and you cant see it unless the led's behide the rev counter is on....:doh:

Apart from the fact they butcher the wire and make a crap connection! Great bodge imo :upside:
