are badboy bonnets illegal?

hi im not bothered if there illegal or not im just curious as they partially cover up light from your headlight so they might not pass a mot! does anyone have one that has passed an mot and whats involved in making your bonnet into a badboy'd as i know a welder

depends how much you cover the light by i suppose. Most i have seen should be ok and as far as making them, i think there is a guide around somewhere, sheet metal, spot wled, fibreglass, smooth, sand down, paint

I think it depends on which part of the headlight you block. Most bad boy bonnets don't cover the actual lense part of the headlight so are ok. Best bet is to go to a couple of MOT stations and talk to them, they'll fill you in on the requirements for passing MOT. If it's legal issues you're worried about, ask a policeman!
