1.3 cams are they worth it ?

Hey guys so i just gad the work done to get a 13 month mot , i had the front cross member welded , new break lines and went for her mot and passed all i have to do is get the front cv joints changed on eaither side .

so after i get the cv joins done im thinking of putting 1.3 cams in my micra im not sure what they come under in ebay. but do you notice much diffrence ?, also is it worth fitting a K&N filter or is it pointless ?

iirc 1.3 cams add around 6hp.

K&N panel filter? or a cone type?

Yes definitely worth it along with a few other cheap mods

Your probably unlikely to find a set on eBay mate, maybe look for a 1.3 that's being broken for parts.

Probably your best bet is the Micra facebook page

edit: I do actually have a set but I'm not totally happy with the exhaust cam as there seems to be some light scratches on one of the bearing faces

I put a cone filter on my 1.4, yes its worth it imo, seems much more responsive on the throttle.
No need for the K&N filter, mine was £8 on Amazon, perfectly adequate

Can't see that alpina, its fitted where the old filter was ?
