im going to put an amp into my car what do you guys think of this is it cheap and tacky or do you think it will do the job?

think of what mate there is no link or make put down depends on what amp it is and what are you putting it in to power a sub or speakers

I think you'd be better off with a different amp that make actually make close to what it claims.

JC, that's hardly good advice!! Letting another member potentially waste time and money on something that isn't worth 50p.

Well it probably is worth its £35, if you ignore the fact the claims on it are utter ******!!!!

That amp will not even be 240watts peak let alone 1600. You could not sell that in a shop as it would be false advertising. I have the kit to measure power and there is nothing I could do no matter how I tried to fiddle it to make that amp even appear more than a few hundreds watts let alone 1000+

FYI I had an amp that did produce this power, It had 180A of fusing on it. This one has 20A....

to be honest buy an active sub...with a built in amp. its solves all the problems

i could but iv already got a good sub and itd b easier for me just to get an amp n wire it into that because then i can plug speakers into it aswell.

Avoid. One of my amps cost me £30 from Ebay and its a decent make (Kenwood)!



Edit: What do you actually want from the amp? By the sounds of it you want to run a sub plus some speakers, so ideally you need a 4-channel amp.
