Alloys

There'l only be a certain amount of tyre sizes that fit, so you should speak to a garage and see what your options are, or maybe find some more technical details from the manufacturer.

Arnold,

I'm looking at getting them in 15"' and would quite like some nice lowish profile tyres to go on them, I'm not sure how the sizes work, Would something 195-50-15 be what i was after?

195/45 should be fine. Its a fairly common size. I think alloys have a recommended range, but you can go one size larger, but not one size smaller.

How do the sizes work?

is it the smaller the first number, the smaller the wheel?

Smaller second number the profile (low med high etc?)

195 / 45 / 15 breaks down as

195 being the width
45 being the height (this measurement is a % of the 195)
15 being the size of the wheel

yes, it's 45% of the width of 195mm as opposed to 50% which means a sidewall depth of 87.75mm and 97.5mm respectively.
