airbag bypass resister

There was a thread on this recently, I recall. I've heard 2.3 Ohms more than once, and a spread of 2.2 to 2.6 seems to be common. You can pick up a selection for pennies at Maplin or similar.
 
It's easier to use a resistor. I just shoved a 2.6 Ohm wire wound/Cement bound resistor into the holes used for the airbag sensor.

The other wire is for the horn slip ring. I do love cable ties and magnet wire :)
 
I'd agree with that Frank. If my car had an airbag I would leave it in. It came to me without one after a crash, so, I haven't bothered.
