80`s box arches

I bought a magazine called performance car last month and they had a special on 80`s hot hatches like the golf rallye and lancia delta they all had box arches. They all looked awsome so i thought i`d fabricate some for my k10 but i need as much advice and information as i can get before i start.Has anyone had this idea or attempted this before?

Someone photoshopped a purple micra with wide box arches once.. I had a look but couldn't find it anywhere, think it was paul that did it.
