2000 micra celebration missing rear anti roll bar

Just bought a 2000 Celebration model and noticed there is no anti-roll bar at the rear. Handling seems fine. Is this normal for this model?

I think it is normal on some base 1L models to not have the anti roll but not sure about the 1.3L models.

the quesiton is, does it have the mounts on the axle? if not then no and if yes, maybe have a look into it.

Ta for the replies. Checked and there are mounts on the axle for the anti-roll bar. Have to admit the handling on this car seems fine or maybe I don't know what I'm looking for (first car) - Why would a previous owner remove the anti-roll bar off? Is there any reason?

Unless he went <a href="http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&sou...ta=&aq=f&oq=rock+crawling&fp=2ca00abd0179bf4f">rock crawling</a> in the micra, I can't see any reason why someone would remove it

Try to pick up a heavy duty swaybar off the Micra UK forums or you could even explore a dual rear swaybar setup (example <a href=http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=Sway_bars_and_Strut_braces#Dual_rear_sway_bars>here</a>) if you're handy and want to do it on the cheap.

there is a suspension school of thought saying that when running stiffer shocks/springs removing or keeping standard the rear sway/anti-roll bar and only upgrading the front give maximum grip to the rear so it does not slide.

a few people in the AE86 and silvia circles certainly adhere to this with some success. i my self dont subscribe to this theory and would much prefer to fit swaybars and have the shocks/springs/coilovers match to the rest of the suspension.
