Gearbox is sometimes jumping out of both first and second gears. Any ideas why?

» CMF MemberHi Dave, no trouble selecting any gear. Happens mainly in second gear, but sometimes in first.

Cause of the problem was a number of hair ties that had been stored on the gearlever making their way down past the boot & jamming up in the change mechanism...
