12v Socket

Hi

My micra is only a basic one so doesnt come with a 12v socket in the dash. I would like to fit one though to run my satnav from. Does anyone know if this simple to do?

you should find the "T" shaped wiring connector taped to the loom, then just fit it to a socket from a scrappy

Thanks, it sounds very simple!

By the loom, do you mean somewhere behin the socket there should be a plug? I have had the fascia off tonight and fitted a new stereo but I never saw one there.

yeh, just checked my missis,s 1.0 l, and the connector is taped onto the loom, (did,nt see the single spade one for the backlight tho)

I'm not to fussed about a backlight as its so low down that you would'nt really see it anyway.

I've posted a wanted ad for one as my local scrappy had a shortage of micras last time I looked!!
