12v socket not working

Hi,

The 12v socket in my Nissan Micra K11 is no longer working. I have checked the fuse which is fine and the connection to the socket is plugged in so I'm not sure why it's not working

Do you measure 12v on the connector?

I needed to sand it bad, took it out from inner dash. If you disconnect battery and prod the plus (center dot) with screwdriver till it is metal again and no corrosion it will work, atleast that was my problem. Can be done without removing lighter, is a slight pain but if you want to see what you are doing or make sure this is your problem and you have the spare time, you can take it out. If this is corroded, I suggest to take out the roof light also. Quite easy. Anything white is non conducting corrosion.
