probably a question for bob, does any know the proper webber number for the direct replacement webber carb for the k10 ie. 48/48 DCOE

what other cars came with the k10 carb and does anyone know of a upgrade carb that will bolt onto the standard k10 manifold thats a bit bigger

cheers, ill look on the net and see what i can find,if its true ill see what the fiesta owners use as a upgrade.

it would be great if we could get a cheap upgrade carb from down the scrapper
 
the webber carb used for direct replacment on the k10 is the 34 ICH i cant remeber the full part number im afraid but im sure they will know what your after if you email or call them, be sure to call the uk bracnh and not the US one as their main website is the US one :)
 
hi, just found out myself its the webber 34 ICH, this is a pretty common carb used on a variety of cars from 1.0 up to 1.4 cars a a replacement. the OE carb on the K10 is the nikki DCZ306.

i bet all 34 ICH carbs dont have the same bolt pattern though, dont really understand webbers fully and how they work there numbers.

has anyone found a carb on a 1.3/1.4 which is a bolt on mod? better carb
 
when u fit a weber there is an adapterpllate which fits on first. the sizes are normally 2 numbers ones inlet and the other outlet i think i found a site on it lemee have a look
 
i see, well there is a chance that one nissan down the scrapyard has had a replacement webber carb in its time, most E series engines had a 34 ICH replacement, might be lucky its a bolt on to a MA engine
 
yes mate the 34ICH is used on a hell of a lot of cars they just fit another plate to the bottom of the carb basic but it works very well, keep your eyes on ebay they often crop up on there very cheap they cost somewhere around £200 from webber direct
 
Just FYI, the numbers usually mean the choke sizes- if there are 2 numbers then it usually means the primary choke is a different size to the secondary

EG i think the carb i had to go on my escort was a 34/36 DFT, so the primary choke was 34mm and the secondary a 36mm.

the chokes on the hitachi carb are more like jet sizes :glance: think i measured them at 20 od mm each :down:
 
the only carb thats work on a standard micra inlet manifold is the single choke34 ich weber and thats been proved on the rolling road against a 26/32 dmtl weber ,youve got to remember that the standard inlet only has a 26mm track through it and also if the 34 ich was good enough to fuel 2.5ltr land rovers its plenty for a micra.
I still have this inlet manifold for sale that takes the 34 ich weber if any ones interested £80 inc p&p

Iv lost the bit of paper that had the correct jet sizes on, would you be able to tell me again please. I will get them this week from that ebay chap.

jet sizes for the weber 34 ich are
main jet,155
air compensater, 160
pump jet,55
this is what mine ended up with after the rolling road but all engines do vary a bit on the air and pump jet sizes
