    Possible MAF issue

It doesn't have a distributor. After a dodgy few first drives it seems to be alright for the moment so I'll leave it as it is for now.

    Possible MAF issue

Mine has the removable MAF sensor so I don't think resoldering is an option is it? I opened it up and there was a circuit board that had some sort of gel covering on it and no signs of any solder.

    Possible MAF issue

For a few weeks my K11 X reg had very little power on a cold start and getting up to 30 was a struggle, but then it would sort itself out after a couple of mins. Yesterday it was a lot worse so I found it out it was probably the MAF. Took it off and there was no dirt on it or anything, got a...

    Wouldn't start

Well, the car has started first time every time since this happened. Hopefully it was a one off. Is there something that could have caused this to happen just once?

    Wouldn't start

No sooner is it sorted before there's something else wrong! I went to start it up from cold before and it sort of started and then stopped straight away. After that it wouldn't start at all without a bit of help from my right foot. I turned the engine off and started it when it had warmed up...

Depends what year yours is. I tried using Haynes for mine which went on about an adjuster bolt that didn't exist.

    Idle

Andy, if completely still it sounds crap but if I let it roll, whether it be pushed by hand or rolled downhill or something the idle improves, but I guess what Smudger has said explains it. It never misfires when revving or anything and there is no apparent loss of power. The poor idle is only...

    Idle

What exactly is idling? I mean, I know, but is the engine still idling if I am rolling forward at a very slow speed? I'm asking because when I'm at a complete standstill, the car idles poorly. However, if I am rolling forward, the engine sounds fine. The car is in neutral the whole time. Is...

    Timing chain

I see no need for any apologies :p I'll see if I can have a go at cleaning the throttlebody tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Timing chain

It was last serviced 6 months ago. Do you think it would be worth fitting a new MAF sensor? Do you know if the MAF sensors can be replaced on a post 2000 without having to replace the whole throttlebody? The mechanic is a friend of my dad so it's weird he would suggest something so unlikely. I...

    Timing chain

Wouldn't that throw a different fault code though? If there was rattling, should I be able to hear it when sat in the car?

    Timing chain

I changed the O2 sensor yesterday and cleared the codes and it came back within 10 mins of driving. The car starts, idles and runs perfectly from a cold startup. It's just the poor idle when warm. As far as I can hear there isn't any rattling neither when cold or warm.

    Timing chain

I've been told today by a mechanic that my timing chain is on its way out. It's an X reg 1.0 and it's only done 36k. Only symptoms are the ones described in this thread: http://www.micra.org.uk/showthread.php?t=29878 Is this likely? Thought the problem would be the catalytic converter so he...

Ok, fitted the new lambda today. Still throwing the same error code. Anyone any ideas? Could it be a problem with the catalytic converter? I've had a couple of symptoms that could be related to this problem, but I don't know. The car seemed to lose power at around 50 mph. Couldn't get it any...

Oh poo. I got to that from this page http://www.gendan.co.uk/oxygen_lambda_sensors_Nissan_Micra_1.0i.html The post cat one. Is the page wrong?

Some of the prices I've been seeing for the lambdas are bloody ridiculous. £80 from General Traffic, £50 from Partco, and £133 from Nissan. Just ordered this online for £30. http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_O24WIRE.html Seem ok?

Got it today, worked fine. It gave me the code P0137 which is: OXYGEN SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE (BANK 1 SENSOR 2) Does anyone know whether this is most likely to be the lambda or the cat?
