    Oops.

Slight misreading of roadsign. Over kerb at 30MPH (down from 50 due to braking) taking out front tyres, and bending the alloys a little. 13m down 30% slope (decellerating all the way at 0.7G according to the GPS), and hitting the barrier at around 15MPH. Buggered right-hand pillar, front...

    1998 K11 ECU swap between 1.0 and 1.3?

I'm having odd, possibly ECU related problems with my 98 K11. (NATS). Can I swap the ECU between a 1.0 and 1.3?

Flow rate curves vs pulse width for stock CG10DE injectors.

Does anyone happen to have these, before I start pulling them off and measuring?

What have I bent? (front offside wheel hot)

Ok... Sorry for the slightly protracted story. ~8 weeks ago, I was badly distracted in the car (passenger) and managed to mount a 30 degree earth bank alongside the road, at around 30mph, ending up with the car at a maximum of maybe 20 degrees tilt, before going back flat. There was no apparent...

    Stupid fastner question.

I've broken several fastners that hold bits of the interior trim on (notably the trim behind the central pillar, over the ECU and the wheel arch liners). These are black, ~20mm diameter, with a rounded head, and a 6mm diameter 1mm depression in the middle. I don't know what the back of them...

Graph of injector pulse width when revved.

Revved in neutral. The sawtoorh is I think the ECU fueling only 3/4 cylinders every second rev - when it's at 6000RPM, to avoid the engine exploding. Now, all I need is to hook it to GPS, calibrate it, and I've got a real-time fuel consumption meter.

It's back together - now where does this connector go.

http://www.mauve.plus.com/fascia.jpg This is 'before' - I needed to get at the heater controls to repair the knob. It's back on now, after much swearing. Howeveer, after putting the stalks back on the steering wheel, I've got a left over connector. It's 1 blue/green (?) wire in a 3 place...

The expanding job. - how to remove rear window demister switch wiring?

I go to replace a broken airflow selector switch - and get a new heater panel on ebay. Of course, I then find that the haynes manual isn't quite accurate, and the fascia is one big plastic lump. I've now got it 99% free - and it's about to come out, barring the wiring to the rear window...

    Repainting.

I have a 'ocean blue' micra. Is there any way of painting bits from other micras to match? Is there readily available paints? I assume they can't be brushed on, but require some form of spray system for the metallic layer? Thanks.

Ideas on how to make the rear seats easily removable?

    Anyone any thoughts?

    Fuel consumption meter.

Would there be any interest in a fuel consumption meter? The basic idea would be a small display, on the top of the fusebox, angled so the driver can easily see it. The sensor is a fuse, modified (while retaining the fuse function and ability to interrupt in the case of faults) and plugged into...

Line in on the stock radio.

I have the stock 99 or so, radio/tape player. I plan to put a laptop (or parts of) behind the console, for engine monitoring, and MP3 playing, amongst other tasks. However, I haven't found a suitable (cheap or free) display, so I'd like to run the laptop sound into the stock radio. Is this...

    Silly supercharger question.

A source of inefficiency at low throttle settings is dragging the air through the nearly closed throttle. If the supercharger were connected to a variable gearbox, then in principle could it make low speed more efficient? Intead of the energy used in dragging the air through the throttle just...

    Swapping CG10DE for CG13DE

What's involved? Is it pretty much as simple as, if I find a scrapped K11 with a CG13DE, I simply unbolt the old engine/gearbox/ECU/..., and install the new one? Or do new mountings need to be made? I know it's possible to fit larger engines, but am not particularly adventurous :) On another...
