just fixed it. slide heat shiled across so as to access under the rod. descovered 1 broken spring and 1 missing bolt! put new bolt in and bent spring so was repaired and hooked in place. first time under a car Chuffed LOL

cool. just drove car and g box is fine. can get in to all gears just have to push further. car jacked up now. looking how to get to under the rod. have to move exhaust and heat plate i think? checked where rod connects to box and looks fine. im still geusing spring? any help is appreciated thanx

is there any way the spring clip could of been damaged due to the shaft not being insterted fully? i might have a go myself at whaking it in! lol friging numpty who replaced my clutch mugging me off. cheers

thanx i will have a go. got the car droped to house last night. (from where drive stoped on A27!) tested car today. working fine. on the tow back it must of made the shaft fit back in. been reading about the retaining clip that holds the shaft in the box. could this be the problem...

Thanx for that. ended up getting some guy down the rd from me to change clutch. cost me £60. this guy is always fixing cars in driveway. had the car for about 4 hours then lost drive compleatly! mate tells me the guy has not put the drive shafts in properly. so have now been told the gear...
