What holds the drivers side drive shaft in the GB?

This was asked the other day.. Think it's just a circlip, not 100% though!

its a spring clip, you lever it with a screwdriver to get it out and just push it to get it in. pretty much the same on all cars...

is there any way the spring clip could of been damaged due to the shaft not being insterted fully?

i might have a go myself at whaking it in! lol

nope, its just a ring around the end of the drive shaft, its got a split in it and when you pull it the ring is squashed together so it will pull out. don't pull the shaft, you need to get a big flat screwdriver between the inner cv joint and the gear box.

i could replace your clutch lol
