Thankyou pork, mounts and everything are new, including linkage mounts and main rear engine mount. It's only ever pulling out of 3rd gear and up until a few days ago had been absolutely perfect. I'm getting a bit annoyed with it to be honest, can't seem to source another 5 speed box anywhere. So...

Hello all, Got a problem with my Micra going from 3rd to any other gear, it seems to resist any movement on the gearstick. I was naively hoping it's just linkage but from what I have read it could be 3rd/4th synchro hub? This is not what I need with a 120 mile journey on the cards next week :(

Got there in the end, decided to replace everything in the ignition department, gapped the points, and she's running like a dream once again. Vacuum hoses round the back of the carb disintegrated so I replaced those with some of its own washer hose :cool:

Already tried that on all of the plugs, nothing :( I'll have another crack at it today

This is what I'm beginning to think mate, just seems weird that I drove it there beforehand and it was okay

Just to add leads from coil all connected, all plug leads definitely connected properly

Hello all, Feeling a bit stumped this evening. My Micra started to misfire today so I drove it to the workshop when I got back from work. Plugs out, gave them a clean on the wire brush. Leads are nearly new, along with cap, all new points etc recently. I gave the cam a light smear of grease...

Washed and polished after a trip to Wales and back, no problems whatsoever :grinning:

My K10 is exactly the same as this, I can drive it for a good 10 minutes and the autochoke will still cause it to rev, then suddenly it drops down to a nice idle. Smells very gassy too so I'm relieved it's not only me!

Cheers Frank I'll give it a go, it's a ###### being on that boundary of changes because I'm not sure what was slapped on my car down the production line to be honest. I think they changed them around November 88 so I'll have to see. Replaced the alternator belt today and as that wasn't in great...

Hi all, I have an F reg K10, I think it's around September '88 because it's still on points ignition. Would this have a timing chain or belt? I'm looking to have it replaced, is it a fairly easy job? Also does anyone know a source where I can get an alternator belt, if not I'll take a trip...

Thanks for the help, I was thinking if push comes to shove I would use gasket paper and hylomar. Thankfully got a proper cork one ordered from the dealer. Going for a new condenser, points, leads, rotor arm and cap for good measure too. Need to keep the old girl running as good as possible for...

Hi chaps, Just wondering if anyone can help me, took the top off my carb today to clean the jets as it's been running rough as a dog. Cork gasket between the top and the float bowl fell to bits in the process. Any ideas as to where I can find a replacement? No luck on eBay :(. 1988 1.0 MA10...
