Ive done quite alot of this using a soldering iron mate. Its easy enough when you get the hang of it. If its a bumper crack i'd tend to plastic weld the back of it up and then use something cleaner like filler or fiberglass on the side that will be seen if you get me? Oh and dont be breathing in...

Sounds reasonable although i think id only pay that for a set if i knew of the advantages tbh. I know they will help reduce engine movement etc. If it was as easy as bolting parts on mate it would be no fun! Its half the enjoyment getting it to were u want, so enjoy it(Y) Flat_out

I usually find a decent coat of hammerite is strong enough to be honest(Y)
