I don't know where you are from but I know 'Industrial Springs' in Adelaide can reset any spring to whatever height you want. I am pretty sure they custom make springs too. Mind you for the cost and the hassle I would look at coil overs. BC (what I had in my K11) are great and cost $1100...

I agree with the weight issue. THe new Mazda 2 was the first car apparently in about 10 years that was actually smaller and lighter than its predecessor! Then look at cars like the corolla - they started life as featherweights and models like the KE70 are literally tiny...yet the new 2010 model...

Don't chop springs!!! obviously they are illegal and they are potentially dangerous. Keep saving your dollars and buy a pair of lowered springs to the height you want, they are faily cheap...or ask around here and someone will probably have a set of kings or something lowered they want to sell.

Awesome guys, thanks for the info! That would also explain why they bolt up exactly the same but the mudflaps don't fit due to the lower portion being slightly different. You'd think that Nissan would have created a more distinct rear bar for the Super S since it is different anyway. Meh.

Yeah they are colour coded. All I really know is that the Super S rear mud flaps (moulded) don't fit on the standard bar as it leaves a noticable gap. I should have said... the reason I asked is I had a mark (small gouge) on my rear bar so had it replaced and resprayed but the crash shop put on...
