blowing cold air

Can anyone help me all of a sudden since yesterday my heater blowing cold air and plus theres a rattling noise coming from where the cat is sounds like its come a bit loose does anyone knowwould that be the cause, if i is not what else could it be.

the first thing to check if your heater goes cold, is the coolant level

And if this checks out ok then 99.9% of the time you will need a new thermostat as it will be stuck open thus engine wont get up to temp thus no heaters

thanks was the coolant that was empty.

keep checking on it regularly until you find the source of the problem (sooner the better). Dont want the head gasket to go pop.
