Will 205/40/17 wheels fit on K12 Micra

Hello everybody, i'm pretty sure that this question has been asked before but i'd like a more specific and updated opinion. I recently won a full set of aftermarket 17" alloys in an auction which i am hoping to fit on my 2003 micra 1.2 k12. The bolt pattern is fine and will definitely fit and the larger diameter is compensated for by the lower profile which means i'm pretty sure they won't be too big. My main concern is that the alloys are 205 in width and my current wheels are 165. Could you please offer your opinions as to whether they will be too wide or not and if you have 205 or wheels of a smiliar width, let me know how they are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've had 195/45 r16 on the rear of my k12, does that help?
my "standard" tyres are 185/50 r16 (sport+/sr alloys)
205 isn't that much wider but if you have the opportunity to test fit before driving miles and having rubbing issues :p

Running 195/45/16 all round mate, not 100% but the 17's will fit providing you're not too low and the 205's aren't much wider than mine and I'm sure they'd fit.

hello

did you change your shock absorber by the way prior to running 16' wheels on your micra.

i was looking forward to fit 15' wheels or may be 16' but i don't want them to have a negative effect on the shock absorbers,

which tyre size do you recommend for a 15' wheel?thx

My k12 is a sport+ so it came with the 16" wheels from factory ^_^

although she's a diesel too so i already have slightly stiffer springs i believe ;)

Edit: the standard tyre size on 15's is 175/60 r15

I've got 205/40/17's on mine have had for 3yrs now. As long as pcd and offset is correct isn't an issue. Car isn't lowered (and won't be),and could possibly do with higher profile, most possibly may need is spacers jus to stop them rubbing arch liner on full lock :)

These were my kosie alloys. 205/40 front and 215/45 rear. Changed alloys since but sont have pic yet.
