If ur wunderin what size rims will fit with no modifications 15x7 with 195/60/15 on a k11 is an easy fitment... just be aware that if u have more than 1 passenager in the back that any bump will make the tyre rub on the arch liner on full suspension travel.

you speedo will be completely wrong with those tyres fitted.
195/45/15 is the size to get for those wheels. 15x7 wheels are a bit big and heavy for a micra though.

All depends on the brand and weight of the wheel.
Some 15x7s are extremely light. I run 15x6.5s though.

Yep 15x7 is what I have as well, will be fitting some others from teamdynamics pretty soon, not to sure about what wheel yet, only thing is its got to be black as that will look great on an orange kinda colour

Thinking bout Pro Race 1 or Pro Race 2, both to be about 6kgs, so not TO heavy...

Hi, hoping someone might know about this coz i know nothing about wheels, on my 97 micra lx i have 14 inch rims and on the rubber it has 185/60/r14. Was just wondering if this would be affecting my speedo and if it is in what way is it doing it. I.E. over speed limit or under speed limit. Any help would be great, thanks

Yeah i got 15" light-weights, only way to go. the tyres im runnin are 195/50R15 C Drives. dont know how bad speedo out.

Does any one know how to adjust the speedo ready on an RSM, or do u need the G-Unit adapter (i think thats wat its called)?

I did these calculations just for ref, in future.

Standard micra set up = 155/70/r13
(tyre wall x 2) + rim = overall hieght from the road to the top of tyre.
(tw x 2)217 + (rim)318 = (overall) 535mm

185/55/r14
202.75 + 343 = 545.7

185/60/r14
222 + 343 = 565

195/45/r15
175 + 367.5 = 542.5

from these calcs, you can see the 195/45/r15 give the closest outcome closely followed by 185/55/r14

if you have a larger than standard set up you are going to be over the speedo speed.

RTA NSW allows +/- 15mm from smallest (alloy 540mm) and largest (steel 547mm) wheels fitted, ie. (525 - 562mm range)
Common sizes in 15"x 195/45=556.5 (+9.3mm); 185/45=547.5 (+0.3mm); 175/50=556 (+8.8mm)
14"x 185/55=559.1 (11.9mm); 195/50=550.6 (+3.4mm); 175/55=548.1 (+0.9mm); 185/50=540.6mm (-6.6mm)
13"x 185/55/60 (-13.5/+5mm); 175/60/65 (-7/+10.5); 165/65/70 (-2.5/+14); 155/70 (std)
Note: There is no way 195/60x15 tyres are legal! Their increased diameter *slows down* your acceleration because of increased inertia and weight. Fit them to a Falcon instead!!
Shortest 185/195 legal tyres are the 185/55x13 (-13.5mm);195/50x14 (+3.4mm) and the tallest are 185/45x15 (+0.3mm); 195/45x15 (9.3mm).
Reality is that when the tyres wear they get smaller by 10-12mm in diameter. LWC

a friends father may be selling a set of wheels which i tried on this morning. they were ripspeed wheels fitted with 205/45/17's they fitted good and only slightly rubbed on extreme left hand bends due to the non-adjustable panard link. that was with no passangers in back but an MDF install in boot.

also to calculate the speed difference use
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
it's a tyre size calculator. all you do is input your stock wheel size in first box and new tyre size in second then works out a percentage difference.
way i wirked it was that it gave a 11.73% difference so i used 60+11.73%= and it gave me the answer that at 60mph i'd be doing 66.7mph. so i will have to stick to around 60 on my spedo on the motorway just to be on the safe side.

Oh by the way I used to have 195/50/15 and the tyre was rubbing in the inside and the outside fender when turning the steering. Also the rear ones were rubbing when running over bumps. So my advice ,stick with the factory diameter unless you flare your arches.

oops my bad. i shoehorned a pair of commodore lights. i went into the Holden Dealer and asked for any of the clears they had. the guy asked my what model my car was, and i told him, it dosent matter, just sell me any clears. he said it wont fit right if i got the model wrong. so i told him i dont own a commodore, but a micra. ha ha ha. he laughed so hard, and handed them to me and just said, good luck mate.

nothing that a hot glue gun and a heavy duty file cant fix!
