what is a "Radio Pass"?

I just bought a 2002 micra and found a small card in the manual called a "Radio pass"
It has a main number in the top right corner (28 113-5F600).. . and three boxes underneath, as follows (L-R)

Typ/Model - BP 6340
Serial-No - 17862511
Safety No - 8779

can someone explain what they are/do?
I'd appreciate it. Thanks

28 113-5F600 is The Nissan Pt No.
The Model & Serial No are self explanatory, and the Safety No is your 4 digit security code incase you remove power and it resets.
